THE FRENCH ‘ART OF LIVING’
Prince Louis Albert de Broglie is an entrepreneur from one
of France’s best-known families. He has inherited its inquiring mind along with
its elegant taste and demand for perfection.
Whilst
restoring the renaissance Château de La Bourdaisière and the Estate in the Loire
Valley, Louis Albert discovered a true passion for the historical garden and for
the gardening arts. He understands the importance of protecting this heritage.
His studies of old species led him to create a National Tomato Collection, which
now holds over 500 varieties.
In 1995 he decided to create a brand for
the gardening arts. He gave the brand his own nickname, ‘Le Prince Jardinier’,
and his first venture was a collection of hand-made gardening tools and clothing
. ( Website: www.princejardinier.fr).
This was a great success and the products can be found in the
smartest outlets on the planet: Le Bon
Marché, Le Printemps, Galeries Lafayette in France, Harrods in England, Bergdorf
Goodman in the USA, Seibu in Japan, and in his own shops at Jardin du Palais
Royal, rue du Bac (at Deyrolle the mythical store in Paris).
‘ Le Prince Jardinier’
has become a standard-bearer for expertise and refinement in the gardening arts
and decorative objects themed around the garden are gradually being added to
complete the collection .
In 2004, Le Prince Jardinier decided to
take this concept to another level: to
bring all his discernment, elegance and luxury in the art of living into the art
of perfumery .
